When should I replace skincare or makeup products?
While some products have specific expiry dates like you’re used to seeing on food, most skincare and makeup products have what is known as a Period After Opening date (PAO). On each product, you’ll find a small jar icon with a number inside it, indicating the number of months you can use the product for after you open it (6M, 12M, 24M etc.). While these dates are a good starting point, make sure you check for any changes in smell, texture or appearance, if that’s the case, you’ll need to replace your products earlier.
