FAQs

How do I plan out a low maintenance small garden design?

Think you don’t have the time or space to create a stunning outdoor oasis? Think again. There are plenty of simple ways you can design your garden to get the most out of it without constantly maintaining every fine detail. Start with hardscaping (gravel, patios, composite decking etc.) for a low effort base, then fill borders with slow growing shrubs that can handle the ever changing British weather. To take your time saving to the next level, group plants together than have similar needs, so you don’t have to worry about each individual shrub.

Where should I keep my gardening tools?

You can check out our range of garden storage options for some inspiration, whether you just need to take control of clutter or create the ideal environment to keep your power tools pristine. We have plenty of different options, ranging from mini greenhouses for your plants to wooden sheds that’ll look after your tools, so you don’t have to take up garage space or leave muddy tools inside.

How to get paint out of carpet

No matter how careful you are, painting is always a messy job to some degree, so knowing how to take care of those spills and splatters right away is a useful skill to have. No matter which kind of paint you’re removing, always blot, never rub, as this can make the stain even bigger than it was before.

For water-based paint, blot with a dampy soapy cloth, while rubbing alcohol is the ideal choice for oil-based formulas. If some spots end up drying before you get a chance to clean them, no problem! Just soften the spot with steam or warm water, then carefully remove the flakes with a dull knife, then blot the area clean with fresh water and dry thoroughly.
