Apple AirPod 5
I bought the Apple AirPod 5 for my son’s birthday. He was very pleased with them. I had to respond to Design, Sound Quality, Connectivity, Features to be able to submit my review but as they were a gift and not for myself I cannot really comment. I was very impressed with Argos’ efficient ordering system and fast availability of product purchased.

Great but for the volume control
They are light as air (I literally forget they are in my ears). Sound is perfect and taking calls with them is a breeze! Noice reduction is also very good and connection with your phone takes seconds.
Single thing I particularly dislike - there is no direct volume control on the AirPods themselves (i.e., you need your phone/ watch to control the volume). It was absolutely my fault I did not read the description properly but in 2026 I did not expect such a simple feature to be missing... I recommend spending £20 more and getting the wireless charging case which offers the volume control direct onto the AirPods.

Better than the pros
I much prefer these to the AirPod pros. I find them much more comfortable to use. The noise cancellation isn’t as good, but it’s better than I expected for something that doesn’t fully block or cover your ears

Noise cancellation and sound quality are good
My daughter loves the IPods, she has commented on the noise cancelling and sound quality in particular. The battery life could be better but the connectivity is quick and hassle free.
